Small operation, one airplane, named CFIs.
CLT Aviation is a Part 61 flight training operation in the Charlotte metro area, based at Concord-Padgett Regional Airport (KJQF) about 25 minutes north of Charlotte. We do one thing: train people who want to learn to fly, starting with the private pilot certificate.
We have one trainer aircraft — a PA-28-140 Cherokee — and CFIs who actually fly it. No factory packages, no checkride mill, no shared dispatch with a Part 141 academy. Pay-as-you-go, instructor-by-name, fly when the airplane and your CFI are available.
That model isn’t for everyone. If you want a turn-key accelerated program with multiple aircraft and a packaged curriculum, there are good options in the area. If you want a CFI who actually remembers what you worked on last lesson, you’ll fit here.
